Bangladeshi handicraft is a part of our culture
for the past thousand years. From the very beginning, mostly
the village people made these handicrafts to meet their own
needs and to sell for extra imcome. Many families around the
countries took handicraft making as their profession.
Since these products have their own style and
uniqueness, buyers around the world showed
high interest for these products from the very beginning. Often
new products come out of rural villages and these products are
imported by the American, European, Canadian, Australian &
Asian buyers to bring a different touch in fashion and style.
We are trying to promote these products so
that the rural artisans can survive and bring new products from
their creativity. We are working to make a bridge
among the buyers and the artisans. KaruPalli
is taking all possible steps to cover as much artisans as possible.
We have the following objectives behind our
handicraft trade:
- To help skilled artisans (mostly women) and to improve their
lives
- To create jobs or employment for poor people mostly from
rural areas
- To provide working capital, marketing support and opportunity
for skills development
- To save and introduce our thousand years ancient tradition
- To bring out creativity and skills from thousands of artisans
inside the country
- To train and educate artisans whenever necessary for a new
project or product
- To market the products around the world for the local artisans
- To design products by our artists and support artisans in
every steps to produce it
- To supervise artisans and quality control in every steps
of production
- To help many independent cooperative groups and traditional
family based artisans
in selling products
Many Thanks to you for your
interest on us.
